Pat Flannery

harkrock_pat

Bass, slide guitar, rhythm and lead guitars, mandolin, psaltry

Pat has come a long way since playing in Strutter, his southern rock ‘n roll band in high school. Soon there was a string of jam bands with no names – The No Names could have worked – and then messing around with some acoustic guitar, including an acoustic blues phase.

Then nothing. Other than fiddling with a guitar at home, Pat took about a decade off from playing music, “and then I started playing with you jokers.’’ Those jokers would be Jacques Billeaud and Chris Fiscus, who began making music with Pat and others in living rooms, backyards and borrowed warehouses, eventually leading to The Preserve.

Pat’s influences include Hendrix, deep blues, bluegrass, even progressive jazz – no, not some damn elevator jazz.
