Lead vocals, rhythm and lead guitars, harmonica
Kyle, of Houma, Louisiana, learned guitar and vocal theory from his mother. She taught guitar lessons in town, was very influential with religious music and was passionate about Louisiana folk music. Learning to play guitar at 12 years of age in the mid to late ‘70’s required regular doses of Led Zeppelin, Boston and Rush.
As a college student, Kyle was introduced to live music and song writing at Noah’s Ark on the Panama City Beach strip, a Christian retreat center. Kyle continued developing his musical and songwriting skills in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, performing solo acoustic/vocal shows at many popular college bars just off of the Louisiana State University campus.
Kyle developed these skills to a more professional level in Phoenix, Arizona around 2001. He worked alone for many years in the music business but began collaborating with Jacques Billeaud in 2007. Since both Jacques and Kyle were from South Louisiana, their initial work took on a distinct Swamp roots style. The lyrics reflected real life experiences and childhood stories and emotions from the Bayou Country. This collaboration continues today and has evolved to a higher plateau, exploring Southwest roots music with the introduction of Arizonans Chris Fiscus and Pat Flannery.
