Jacques Billeaud

Rhythm and lead guitars, bass, piano, organ, accordion

He’s a Jacques of all trades, from recording early demos in a home studio to providing the childhood and college Louisiana memories that inspired many of The Preserve songs.

And if you can buy it, he probably has it. And yes, he can play it. He’ll play the bass on this song, the lead guitar on the next, add an organ – that’s right, we said organ – or keyboards and then maybe break out the accordion.

Jacques has played in seven rock bands since the late 1980s and his musical influences are just as diverse, from Derek and the Dominos and The Meters to the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Wilco, to Daniel Lanois and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

He began making music with Chris and Pat in “The Containers” and then he met Kyle, bringing him into the fold. “The day I heard him play I was plotting to start a band with him.” With that, The Preserve was born.
