The Preserve is based in Tempe, Arizona and combines roots rock and delta blues with a Cajun- and Zydeco-influenced sound. The four members — two south Louisiana natives and two longtime Arizonans — released their debut CD, The Setup, in August 2009. The band is now working on its second studio CD.
The Preserve welcomed 2010 with a high-energy, 90-minute set on the main stage of the Fiesta Bowl Block Party, opening for The Doobie Brothers at one of the largest New Year’s Eve events in the Southwest. The band plays venues across Arizona including The Marquee Theater, the Hard Rock Cafe, Alice Cooper’stown and the 2008 and 2009 P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n Roll Arizona marathons. The Preserve also plays in south Louisiana.
Members have shared the stage or bill with musicians from Alex Grossi of Quiet Riot to Dizzy Reed of Guns ‘N Roses, Bourbon Street regular Waylon Thibodeaux to Grammy winner Tab Benoit, .38 Special to Dash Rip Rock to Cowboy Mouth.
